Apple has released the iPhone 16 series, which includes:
iPhone 16
iPhone 16 Plus
iPhone 16 Pro
iPhone 16 Pro Max
To ensure a seamless experience with the DentalMonitoring (DM) App, we've conducted extensive tests on these devices. Below, you'll find important information on scanning with these new iPhones.
Camera Alignment with ScanBox Pro
Proper camera alignment is essential for capturing clear and accurate scans. Follow the guidelines below based on your iPhone model to correctly position the camera in the ScanBox Pro:
iPhone 16 & iPhone 16 Plus
Position: Center the upper lens within the ScanBox tube.
Flash Position: The flash should be entirely within the tube, providing optimal lighting for your scans.
iPhone 16 Pro & iPhone 16 Pro Max
Position: Center the upper left lens within the ScanBox tube.
Flash Position: While part of the flash may be outside the tube, there is still sufficient light available to capture bright and clear scans.
New Camera Control Button
The iPhone 16 series introduces a new Camera Control button located below the Side Button. This button allows quick access to the iPhone's camera for taking photos or videos and accessing camera settings.
Impact on Scanning
Accidental Press: If you accidentally press the Camera Control button during a scan, the DM App will close, and the Camera App will open.
Resume Scanning: Simply reopen the DM App to continue your scan without losing any progress.
Rest assured, this button cannot change any of the DM App's camera settings, such as lens, zoom, or focus, during a scan.
Adapter Usage
For all iPhone 16 models, the DM Adapter is not required. You can take high-quality scans without using the adapter, ensuring a straightforward and efficient scanning process.
